Melting Furnace for Colored Glass

The lining of the glass contact area of melting tanks for the production of colored container glass is similar to that of flint container glass or flat glass. The areas exposed to high stress, however, can be lined with materials containing chrome as a discoloration by solved chromium oxide is tolerable.
